Gas prices in the United States are getting out of hand with the price per gallon holding strong at or above $3.00. People are starting to notice it more with the decline in the economy. The extra things or the non-essentials in life are getting put on the back burner. Credit Card companies are getting ready to possibly take some large losses. Let's face it when things get tough people prioritize to survive. There are three things in life that we all need as humans; water, food, and shelter. With that said people are going to pay for their mortgages, house bills, food, and then vehicles. Credits cards come in very low on the survival list.
We still will need to get to work, school, and run errands. To do that, you will need to use the car, but the car costs you money. The biggest recurring expense for your car is fuel. Every time you start the car it is costing you more money. How are we going to stop this? Are we just going to keep going along the way things are? Complain every time you pull into the gas station because the price per gallon went up another 5 cents? Did you know that in one 42 gallon tank of crude oil only 19 gallons is used for gasoline. We use the other 23 gallons for other products like paint thinners, kerosene, diesel, engine oil and so on. So you can see is takes a lot of crude oil to make gasoline for todays economy. I think it is about time that we step into the future. We need to use alternative fuel sources like water, air, electric, and propane to name a few. Many countries have taken this step and turned the future into today. Yes, all those fuel sources I mentioned are being utilized on vehicles that are being driven everyday. Lets talk about water and electric fuel.
Water
Did you know that you can heat your home, drive your car, and generate power with tap water. Thousands of people are doing just that, right now. Water is a safe and environmentally sound power source. It doesn't add harmful chemicals to the air that will kill plants and burn up the ozone layer. With water being used for a power source your garden hose will be your new gas station. Also, you will be saving a lot of money when it comes time to fill up.
Electric
Electric cars are popping up all over the place. The technology is advancing quickly. Batteries are becoming lighter and more powerful. A electric car can now be charged from a home outlet and on that one charge it can go over 200 miles. Also the charge times are becoming shorter. It used to take over twelve hours to charge a car's system but now it can be done in almost half that time. Another great thing about electric cars is the money that you will save on maintenance. You don't have to worry about air filters, fuel filters, oil changes, or transmissions to name just a few. With all this savings you could be driving around for as low as three cents per mile.
Just remember if we want things to change we need people to step up and change them. It only takes one person to take that first step into the right direction and the crowd will follow. You can become that leader today! The first step? Educate yourself. The auto industry is going to be using these fuel sources by 2012. Will you be ready? Why wait until then to take action, start today and just think.
