Why Are Gas Prices So High?

I am trying to research gas prices in my area. Where can I look to find a history of the local gas prices.?

I would like to see the monthly flucuations in gas prices (at the pump) for about the last 20 years.

3. The best website that I have found is Gasbuddy.com. They have links to charts for at least the last year, maybe longer periods of time. That, and they have the listings of the cheapest gas in your area.
