Isn´t this about the most exciting time in recent history?
With everything going on, global warming, global cooling, nuclear war with Iran, Korea, prices of gas, food, and everything else rising, facing a world wide famine, violence on the increase everywhere. This has (to me) got to be one of the most unstable times in recent history. I would think that young people are pretty terrified about their future... What do you say, scary? or NO?

- It's the only one you will live in. You might as well be excited.
- Technologicaly it is, not sure about lot of other issues.
- It is both terrifying and exciting. On the one hand humanity faces a terrifying and unprecedented combination of converging catastrophes. On the other, humanity is experiencing a sea change as it re-conceptualizes itself from societies built on the model of nationhood into a one planetary civilization. There is great threat and there is great promise. I have joined forces with like-minded people who believe that humanity is one race, the human race; God is one, though called by different names and understood differently by different cultures, and religion is one, progressively revealed through a series of universal, divine educators, including Krishna, Moses, Zoroaster, Buddha, Christ, Muhammad, The Bab, and today Baha'u'llah, whose teachings are the basis upon which the planet can make peace with itself. The Baha'i enterprise is showing all concerned about the crises of civilization that the world's peoples, in all their diversity, can learn to live and work and find fulfillment as a single race, in a single global homeland.
- Exciting? Challenging? Inspiring? Motivating? Yes. Terrifying? No, though we should all be deeply concerned at the least. But don't complain, do something about it to change things for the better. I joined the Army to help out our troops and our country, not because I love war or cuz I'm a Bushie. "Courage is fear holding on a minute longer... There is no greater hell than to be a prisoner of fear." - General George Patton
- there is always something major going on in the world. There has been many famines in the past. This is nothing special or different. People always been violent and there has always been wars. it just that there are more people on this earth then there was in the past so more people die.
- I dont know about exciting, but i do find it a bit scary. Neither my husband or i have had any pay rises in 3 yrs, & with all the prices escalating i'm not sure how we'll manage, its hard now. I'm in my mid 40's & i dont remember a time when i've worried so much about the future. As for global warming & all that, i haven't got time to worry about that toooooooo.........
- Sorry to disappoint you , but in reality we are living in pretty peaceful times. If you think about it the First World War , the whole of Europe , all the Commonwealth Countries England Australia, Canada , India etc etc Then the USA came in at the last minute .. Then came the Second World War.. Same thing happened ..The whole of Europe was at war again..from 1939 Then when America was attacked in Dec 1941 they decided to help .. All that finished in 1945 , since then there have been a few little wars but nothing to compare with the two big ones.. Also since America dropped the A bombs not much has happened.. And don't get me started on the Crusades that lasted about 150 years or something like that .. No unfortunately for all the Christians waiting for the rapture ,, Nothing will happen.. No 4 Horseman of the Apocalypse.. JC won't be coming as he is a figment of your imagination..
- I agree. The collapse of socialism world wide is predictable but enjoyable to see. Yet the desperate attempts to beat societies into submission with the fraud of global warming shows how out of control the left wing media is.
- Yes, I agree, this has to be the most unstable time in history. You never know what will have happened when you wake up in the morning. That's why it's so important for me to love & cherish my family & spend as much time with them as possible. It's more important to me now to make sure my children are taught about how they are to live their lives for Christ. To mold them, prepair them for what's to come. I'd say that it's very scary for them to have to face what's certainly to come. My parents were praying parents when I was a child & teenager & I've got to be the same. I want to instill God's values in my children. We as a whole need to pray as we've never prayed before.
- I love it. Jesus will soon finish this war in this world.
