Why Are Gas Prices So High?

will gas prices go up or down in the future?

gas is expensive! here in california is about 4.50 averagly per gallon. will it ever go down? what about when the iraq war is over? does anyone know when gas prices will lower?

1. It's going to keep going up for the foreseeable future.

3. The only way they will go down in the near future is if everyone for 2 weeks cut down their use 80%. Then only maintain use at around 50%. The demand will drop and Opec will have to pump more oil to make money (not being able to sell oil will cripple ther industry). In the next 5-10 years there will be other forms of oil replacements such as oil shale. The problem is that these industries can't be formed overnight.

If there was a good reason for it I would say go for it but there is another Saddam born everyday just like there is another Bush born everyday..you cant change beliefs of another country.... it's wrong! Take care of your own!
