2. awd vehicles generally get bad gas millage due to additional amounts of rotating mass. This is also why they are slower, except off the line where they get better necessary traction
3. The only AWD vehicles that can get any sort of good mileage would be any car from the subaru lineup. subaru is one of the few companies that offer AWD in sedans. more expensive brands such as mercedes benz, audi, and bmw also offer AWD on some models.
