- The best way to increase gas milage is properly inflate your tires and make sure that your air filter is clean. A clean air filter will also add to horsepower because good air is coming into your engine to mix with fuel to burn.
- Power Economy Chose one of the above. But the Dodge came standard with a catalytic converter, so why don't you have one?
- Well about the only thing I can say is if you want more power your going to give up gas milage. If you want something cheap and will help with gas milage go with a K&N air filter. It will give you a little bit more power when I mean Little bit I mean 1-2 HP if that but it will help in gas milage. In order to get more power it will take more gas to make that power. Well Ihope this helped you out.
- The tire thing makes sense, but, also check on those K&N air filters. They increase horses and get as good or better milage because of more efficient fuel burning.
- good answers already. the catalytic converter is designed to reduce unburned fuel being blown into the air. it uses a catalyst to help the unburned fuel to combust. it does not add horsepower. it actually takes a little bit away from both fuel economy and HP by restricting exhaust, if only slightly. still, i wouldn't remove one to increase HP. the tiny gain wouldn't be worth the effort, it will pollute more, and it's illegal. get a tuneup!
- A more free flowing exhaust, try headers.
