How much longer until gas prices go down or a new car is invernted and mass-produced?
As you all know, gas prices are insane, and I want to know how much longer we are going to have to deal with them.

- About one more year. j
- the more we vote for environ(mental)ists legislators or dont vote them out of office...it will only go up if u want to do something about it then watch this http://www.liveleak.com:80/view?i=2ed_1213364080
- Until you just cant afford it. Really, oil profiters greed coupled with such a high demand for gasoline keeps gas prices rising. When people can no longer afford to drive, that's when gas is gonna drop because there won't be such a demand for it anymore. But i think more realistically these new car technologies being worked on (plug in cars, super hybrids, etc) will take off and that will be the next car.
- When we get our butts out of the war that is a complete waste of our time and money and has proven nothing...
- the technology is here for much reduced fuel usage hybrid cars but the fuel prices are here for at least two years ( will go up and down a bit) according to city analysts. Electric cars are becoming fashionable but again have an environmental impact eg nuclear power station's and battery cells. when the cost of fuel is high enough the cost of supplying a high cost hybrid car will seem economical. theta point is also around 2 years away. so sit tight for a while an ideally get a cheaper to run vehicle.
- Gas is such a controversy subject. I mean on one hand we are harming the environment, but honestly once it hit past $3.00 that is just absolutely crazzy. I mean $2.50-$3.00 I think is a good price to discourage extra, unneeded driving and polluting that so many people do. However when it reaches almost $5.00 that is just down right insane. I was reading another post with the same question as you and guess what one of the responses were? "Stop complaining, get richer" . . . what narrow-minded a-hole. Gas prices will probably not exceed more than $5.00, because that will hurt our economy wayyyy to much. I mean gas has become a high monthly expense now like a freaking electricity bill. I do believe we will find other things to fuel our vehicles and planes, but not any time soon. If we would stop trying to be so dependent on gas we could help lower the prices, because not everyone will be buying it all the time to drive to the local grocery store or friend's house so they would have to lower it to encourage driving. I walk to blockbuster, movies, grocery stores, restaurants, parks, lakes, everything. The only time I drive is if I have to get too many groceries to carry home or going on vacation. As a result I have been getting in great shape and gas prices don't affect me that much. However, I do know it is a burden, especially people that have to travel for work, post offices prices are rising, everything is just going up and up. It is slowly killing many of us. I mean my parents make a great deal of money, but hate spending it, especially since they have 3 college students going to a pricey university. It is just pathetic, I mean if the U.S. would be smart and drill our own oil, everything would be okay for a while (but the ultimate issue is to find a better fuel like using biodegradable or non-biodegradable fuel which they are working on now!!) People have learned to become so dependent on things. We use to gawk at the Amish, but I believe they are the ones having the last laugh now, because they do not have to waste their money on anything, especially gas!
- I really don't know, but I did start riding my bike to work and I'm loving it... Paying a lot for gas isn't really the issue. In my mind the issue is; who are the people still profiting greatly. Have any of the Big Oil CEO's taken a pay cut to offset some of what we pay? Oh No!!! Rex Tillerson, the head of ExxonMobil made $21.66 million in 2007. Poor fella had to suffer through a mere $18.37 million in 2006. Do some research...check out who is profiting off many people not even being able to afford to go to work. Check out the families of the Bush Administration...still profiting from oil. How can people possibly blame the environmentalist movement? Shame on you... The upside to rising prices is that it will force people to look for alternatives. Look at it, not as a negative thing, but as an opportunity for growth.
- I heard soon like 1 or 2 more years...just get a scooter for now lol
- Yes gas prices are crazy right now. Unfortunately probably 10 years before one is 'mass' produced. I know by 2010 a few car lines will be available like the chevy volt.
- According to the media, gas prices are not going down anytime soon. There are other alternatives than building a car I happen to have done some research on the topic and found where this guy Oliver South convereted his BMW to water gas fuel. He has a video that shows step by step how anyone can do this. There is also a review website that I found in my research that covered a few other companies that are doing the same thing. You might want to check the review site at http://homemadehydrogenfuelcar.googlepages.com
- Will as long as Bush is in office never. You do know he and his friends own oil com. They are now making more money than ever in the past. He will go out of his way to protect that. If he was really worried about the people he would have done something by now
